Joe (Raves) ravenscroft is only 10 years old and is already proving to be a force worth reckoning with within the motorcycle world. He attends Moorlands Primary school at mount in Huddersfield, started riding minimoto's when he was 6 years old, and started racing at 7. He first started to race with Lucky devils who are based in Colne, Lancashire, where he acquired numerous trophy's for the 4.2 hp engine category. Joe then climbed the next rung of the ladder by racing the Jawa gp50 auto bike, which he's still racing at the moment.
Joe also races a White Knuckle pit bike which was very kindly supplied by Dick at DC MOTORCYCLES, who is one of Joe's sponsors, and is learning on a Conti v3 50cc. You can see photographs and trophies for the pit bike down at DC Motorcycles showroom in Fartown, Huddersfield.
He's doing very well in 2007, he's leading the championship on his jawa, and is second on the pit bike.. The championship that Joe's in is called L.C.R.R.C (low capacity road racing club) British championship, which is run by Phoenix racing who are based at Preston Lancashire, to find out more about Phoenix, the race calendar and results by clicking here.
Joe has numerous trophies for the two categories that he takes part in and is enjoying going up and down the country to the different venues where the races are held.
Joe's other hobbies include:- anything on two wheels, swimming and karate which he has acquired his green belt. He practices twice a week with Broadoak karate club, goes swimming twice a week and then if we are not racing we try and go practicing, to keep his stamina up for his racing. The whole family (even the dog) go around the country to every race meeting making it a very enjoyable weekend away.
You have to agree, Joe has a fantastic future in front of him, could he be the next Lewis Hamilton of the motorcycle world!
